We didn't just stumble into the outdoors, we were born into it.

Growing up in Utah, our lives have always been measured by the seasons. Winters are spent chasing powder on skis and snowboards; summers are for tearing up the mountain on bikes and racing on motocross tracks. If it involves dirt, snow, two wheels, or a little adrenaline, we're out there doing it.

But as we bounced between sports, we noticed an interesting gap. Our motocross gear is loud, unapologetic, and incredibly stylish. The helmets are works of art — brighter, bolder, and packed with personality. But the second you step onto the ski slopes or roll onto a mountain bike trail, everything turns black, white, and muted.

It begged the question: why are helmets and safety gear left out of the equation for the sports we love? Why does choosing safety mean sacrificing your style? We decided to change that. Our goal is to bring that same high-energy, vibrant culture to helmets for the slopes and MTB trails. Safety shouldn't be a boring afterthought — it should be the centerpiece of your kit.

That's why we started Gold Crown. We aren't designers sitting behind desks. We're riders. We ride, test, and abuse every piece of gear we produce on the very same Utah mountains we grew up on. Our mission is simple: engineer gear that delivers elite-level protection without ever compromising on style.
